with the cruise control set to ensure the least amount of speed fluctuation I have these results:
RPMs at 55 = about 17possibly even 18
RPM at 60 = 19, just below 20
it really doesnt take much to get it 5mph more. Whats the purpose of this question though? will it tell us something bout the performance of the car or wut? also, I have a confirmed 125mph in my car now. side by side with my friends stealth we hit 125. I dont know about that 150 stuff anymore cuz Im not sure how much more the car could handle, but It was doing just fine at these speeds.
I'll get back to you on why I was asking you these questions. ;)

I would just like to say that this has got to be the longest topic ever.
Sold the blue 88 lesabre coupe for $800 unfortunately. Now i got an 82 mazda rx-7 and a 2002 Olds Alero 4 cyl 5 speed. rx-7 has too many mods to list Alero is daily driver with 18x8 American Racing Casinos with 235/40R18 summer tires.

I'd like to say there is such a car as a LeSabre GST,a T Type GST,nope-was definatly "put together". The GST LeSabre has same rear transaxle ratio, same features as T Type, except a true GST has no front air dam, a different rear spoiler, black honey-comb rims, sideskirts & rear piece with exhaust cut out(like ur car). It should have tags that say Fuel Injection GST Blue Moons Wisconsin on the gst badge's.Interior has no console,on the column never made GST with a console.

From all I have ever seen, I think your may have a one off custom version of a T-Type. The GS badge is from a '95 or newer Regal GS. The body kit and wing is after market. I am not a total know it all about these car, but I have had my Limited for 16 years, and I have done a great deal of reading and searching items on these cars. I am hoping to get my hands on a good '87 T sometime soon.

GM did produce a limited production LeSabre GN (non-turbo). Only 117 were produced, and from what I read, they were all taken to Indianapolis and were taken for 2 or three laps around the track by Bobby Allison, prior to being shipped out to selected dealers. These car were built to qualify the FWD LeSabre Coupes for NASCAR in 1985.

I had a chance to buy one in Florida a couple of years ago for just $4500, but unfortunately I did not have the cash at that time... :x

All that being said, I think you have a great and unique looking car. I hope you enjoy it and care for it for a long time.

Maybe someone will post on this after 10yrs next. Anyway, I saw several odd aftermarket builds of LeSabre T-types in southern WI in the early 90s. One appeared in Whitewater and had a gold paint job, yes gold or tan. It also had a strange body kit, but I think we've all seen those. I had to look twice when I saw it drive by me. Then there are the well documented limos. The unusual LeSabre builds from that era were likely dealer creations. The tan car must have been painted after the factory or heavily modified from a tan coupe. I don't recall ever seeing a sedan in that color.
