T you said it. this motor is stock with 154,000 mile, so is the transmission.

I will push the stock powertrain/driveline till something GIVES  . I plan on building another 3800 long block with 1992-96 buick park ave supercharge PISTON with total seal gapless top ring, remove balance shaft, port and polish cylinder heads with stainless steel valve, hi-per valve spring.

I will replace the air cleaner box with a WATER-TO-AIR intercooler. I have plenty of room in this area for the turbo air cleaner and the heat-exchanger (intercooler). I`m using a bosch ele water pump found on 92 GMC sycloon/typhoon . I still have to put together the radiator for the intercooler system up front (30 inches wide)...later on that.

I do plan on moving the mass air flow sensor UP-STREAM on the turbo INLET. I will have to duplicate the GM sensor air path, i feel this will be important since the turbo will multiply the air flow speed. I notice the GM sensor have a special passage-way which slows down the air-flow at hi-rpm, for accurate reading/recording. The air temp sensor will be install into the throttle body intercooler pipe. o2 sensor will be mounted 6-8 inches in the 12 o`clock position on the turbo down pipe. i will upgrade to the Gn 4 wire o2. fuel pump upgrade to wilbro GT340 intank fuel pump. I will use my current MAFT+ for changing fuel and timming. i had great success with this device on my supercharge BLT. I don`t know what i will do with the vacume line going to the transmission modulator? I will have to see what happen during test driving. I am happy the car have ABS brake.

Steve is that splice in the crossover going to generate enough turbo speed? it seems like it should have a more smooth junction into the turbine housing, like a y pipe. That setup seems like a turbulent area where the exhaust from the 2 banks of the engine would slam together at that point, cancelling out their velocity into the turbine.

Like the intercooled GN system has the huge pipes with smooth contours all aiming at the turbine housing.

Yep I'm waiting the new spoiler with open arms too.

the crossover pipe is section in two at the turbo flange (internally). i know what you are talking about. you will not notice this by look at the pipe externally. onec the turbo is remove, the outlet is section so the left bank cylinder does not interfear with the right cylinder, the left and right bank flow all the way into the turbo turbine with No turbulance. thank you for the tip ;) .

Ok that makes sense. Not sure how you managed to do that internal work on the pipe, but nice work!

Steve - what did you do on the back manifold to redirect the flow up front?

Hmmmm..pictures,pictures I will remember to post pic next time I up-date, I also have to find them on the web (yahoo junk tons of my picture and close e-mail). I use the stock manifold, by removing outlet and close it off, I also had to redirect #6 and #4 cylinder exhaust runner , since the turbo/outlet is at the crossover pipe ;-). Maybe I will post pic when I get home(PC). Not all ghetto work comes from backyard garage. I did the kit before using the 89 TGP (turbo grand prix). I find the crossover being too restricted , so now I have streamline the exhaust so air flow dynamic is alway at the top of the list. I am also planning a water to air heat ex-changer where the air cleaner box is located, NO FMIC here, easier to tune Plus less turbo-lag, system more compact, less piping. Bending IC pipe can be a pain, when messed-up. Pic yea
