Bob, it's a double din stereo with DOCK and LOCk technology. (there aren't wires behind the radio, just a ribbon cable.) Check out the audio section on www.bonnevilleclub.com for more information.

the vynl top is definately an aftermarket item. As for repair/replacement I'm not sure about that. It'd have to be some kind of custom auto place I'm sure. It wouldn't be a chain store more than likely it'll be a mom & pop store.

the stock alternator is 105 amps. if your lights are dim after sitting a few hours that's your battery's fault not your alternator. If you replace one, you should usually replace the other component too because they were under the stress from the other component not working correctly. If you replace...

Good article but I do see a few flaws. One, the 4t60-E was not used until 1992, or maybe 1991, but I know that 92' was the first year it was widely used. The 440t4 from 88-90 was totally mechanical. Also, to add something, the 4t65-E also utilizes a torque converter who can partially lock for best f...

make sure you don't just settle for the LeSabre withotu first test driving other cars first! What are you looking for exactly? The LeSabre feels like an American Luxury car whereas something like an Aurora feels like a BMW inside. (very European feel and touches to it.) The LeSabre is a nice car but...

huh? Guys... the G6 is a replacement for the Grand AM/ Alero. A full size Buick isn't going to share its platform. The Lucerne uses the same platform as the 2000+ Bonneville, Aurora and LeSabre. The Lucerne is meant to replace the LeSabre and the Park Avenue much like how the pontiac G8 when it come...

ah, Bonneville's never had a digital dash, only analog gauges with a digital car display (SSE/i) models with DIC. What are you planning to use these parts for? IF you plan on putting it on your engine just a fair warning that it will not work. 1. supercharger will not line up with the pre 94 engines...

a few things that need to be pointed out: 1. the L27 intake manifold doesn't work on the LN3 engine. The coolant passages are different along with the throttle body 2. the 440t4 and the 4t65e are nothing alike. They share no common parts. These two transmissions are totally different. 3. The T-Types...

whip out your handy multimeter and test your voltage. at idle your car should be around 12-13.5 volts with everything on. WIthout everything on and with minimum load it should be at 14.2-14.6 volts. If it is out of this range you probably need a new alternator or battery or both. ;)

when you try to start it the starter doesn't even click? When you turn the key back to off after trying to start it, does the security light stay on? If so, your ignition switch has gone bad (common problem.) Mine only starts about 75% with the key. I just use my remote start to start teh car all th...

I don't think the 80's LeSabre's had governor's. Their top speed was determined by aerodynamic drag basically.
