Supercharged T-type for sale

I just haven't had the time to enjoy my T-type in years and I think it's past time I let it go. If someone can give it can make someone happy I'll be glad to part with it. I have a ton of extra parts as well. I haven't driven it more than a few blocks in years. Good shape except it could use some bo...

Site migration

Welcome to our new "server". I have migrated us to a new slightly faster server. It's not fancy but it is more than 10 years newer than the old one. I will keep the old one handy for a few days just in case anything is amiss. Please let me know if there are any issues.

Re: End of the road For my T-type

A sad day in T-type land. You have put up a brave fight for your car in a car-unfriendly town. Sad to hear you must let her go.

Re: Crazy idle/stalling/missing

Check to make sure it is getting spark to all cylinders. A bad MAF sensor will cause a lot of problems, so that is a possibility. Disconnect the battery for a few minutes to clear the codes and start over, this will eliminate all the old codes you don't have any more.

Re: Gas Tank Replacement

Great writeup. I did this years ago, but I was not so lucky. I also had to cut the straps in half, but I also had to cut the fuel lines and the brake lines were damaged as well. The placement of lines on these cars is very poor. Beware if you work on anything in that area that you may have to replac...

Re: My transmission disregards the laws of mechanics.

It does sound strange. Where is the fluid going? If you cooler line is leaking it would cause a lot of problems. Check for external leaks in the lines and check your coolant in the radiator for oily residue.

Re: Toggle switch for the rad fan??

Just make sure to wire the ground end of the circuit so it will go off with the key. I have modified a couple Iron Duke cars this way because they "forget" to turn the fan on. Simply ground the wire going to the computer from the relay. If it is just a temp sensor though why not spend a few bucks fo...

Re: Wiring adapter to moutn newer radio in '87 and older

They probably don't make one, but you can get a wiring adapter to adapt to your 87 wiring and go to a junk yard and cut the wires to make your own. That's what I did on my 88 Lesabre.

Re: "Big Brakes" for a LeSabre?

A word of warning, 92+ brakes with stock T-type rims will rub. They actually hit the spokes, but just barely. With slightly worn pads they fit, or if you made 1/4" spacers they would probably be fine. They stop way better then stock brakes, but obviously wouldn't be as good as bigger ones.

Re: Home-Made Alignment

Lets assume we're talking about only toe-in. You'll need to two lengths of string, suspended between to jack stands or other heavy objects. The height of the string must be at about the center line of the wheel. Put each string approximately 6" from each side of the car, Put the front of the string ...
