Re: spring 2019

That SC car for sale a couple months back was amazing. I should have bought it ans FIGURED OUT the title issue. Might've been...interesting. Its true that nice examples are just not around any longer. Actually there's a decent maroon '88 or '89 for sale in Buffalo NY, but it has a cheesey hood bulge...

Re: spring 2019

I'm still here...saw a magnificent black lesabre t-type for sale in South Carolina on Craigslist a month ago, but it had a salvage title and there was apparently no way the seller could clear that (was the widow of the late owner (who was a bodywork guy) and not too....savvy). NJ would not allow me ...

Re: Do you have a t type

I do not. I had a black '87, was my first new car. Been coming here for seems like forever (since the early 2000s). In that time, I have owned a grey '87 Park Avenue with the "T" package and also a very nice grey '88 Lesabre T-ype, which I used for a few years as a daily driver up to about 6 years a...

Re: 1988 Silver BLT for sale in Central NJ - $1500 FIRM

S'no biggie...I had a new BLT 25 years ago...in 2002, feeling nostalgic, I bought a real nice 1990 Olds 88 Royale FE3 coupe, drove it for nearly 4 years, then a 1987 Park Avenue with the "T" package, and then this 1988 BLT. So I've been driving these cars for 10 years. That is a piece of time, and i...

Re: 1988 Silver BLT for sale in Central NJ - $1500 FIRM

There's an engine bay shot in this thread: http://lesabret.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=7992&p=56480&#p56480 As evidenced there, car also has the strut brace, which I added. No chassis pics, and I'm really not inclined to crawl underneath the thing, but as I said NO RUST. Car is priced to sell. Oh ...

Re: 1988 Silver BLT for sale in Central NJ - $1500 FIRM

Yes, there are pics in first link above. Only diff between then (early 2010) and now is there is some paint loss on top surfaces (typical of silver GM cars of this era) and rear beltline moldings, rear spoiler is unpainted black fiberglass (original is very slightly warped and had some cracking, but...

Re: "Historic" plates

Pretty cool, Moldymac; nice car too, looks a lot like my own. I've grown to really like the silver cars (my first one was black). Guess my original point was that its amazing to me that these cars are now old enough to be registered as classics, seem like not that long ago I got my '87 off the showr...

Re: "Historic" plates

For sure, registration is cheaper, as is insurance. I am def. aware of the restrictions, as I have a 65 Oldsmobile, and that car, I do rarely drive. I'd be tempted to break the rules with the BLT, its true. Not as worried about police as insurance company balking when it came to a liability claim. :...

"Historic" plates

My current BLT is a 1988. My first was an '87, and it occurs to me that this spring will be 25 years since I bought that car. So who's the first to get Historic plates on their BLT? (here in NJ, 25+ year old cars are eligible for "QQ" plates). In fact, I'm not sure if in this state, they will eventu...

Re: Absolute lowest mileage Eighty Eight coupe EVER

I had a black 1990 Royale FE3 coupe in the first decade of this century. Great car.

Here's an amusing commerical for the '86 models that evoked the 442s:
